It's been over 16 years since Neil O. Anderson & Associates (NOA) was incorporated. With a humble beginning in an office out of his home, Neil Anderson has launched a successful geotechnical and civil engineering company. With the corporate headquarters in Lodi, California, NOA also has branches in Sacramento, Ceres and Concord, and in Fernley, Nevada. Our current staff is over 70 strong and our professional engineers are licensed in 19 states.
Neil's vision and leadership has guided the company to meet the needs of our growing client base. Our experienced engineers and staff perform a broad range of civil, geotechnical and environmental consulting. Our environmental services include site assessments, soil and water testing, California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) studies, regulatory compliance, monitoring well installation, geologic hazard investigations, and engineered septic systems. Our engineering services include geotechnical studies, post-tensioned slab design, swimming pool structural design, and retaining wall structural design. Other services include geotechnical instrumentation, geophysical testing, geologic studies, and construction monitoring services. We offer full service non-destructive testing, including radiography and eddy current.
In 1993, NOA was retained by a swimming pool contractor to provide geotechnical consultation on a residential swimming pool that had suffered distress as a result of construction in expansive soils. After the pool was repaired, we were asked by the contractor to provide structural engineering services for all of his future projects. In the years that have followed, Neil O. Anderson & Associates has expanded its swimming pool engineering services to include structural, geotechnical, materials testing, and forensic investigations for a wide breadth of both commercial and residential swimming pool projects.
We currently provide engineering services to over 300 architects, designers, and contractors with nearly 20,000 projects per year throughout the U.S. Our engineers have served as expert witnesses in litigation, we publish semi-monthly articles in a national aquatic publication, and we are regular guest lecturers at conferences and trade shows throughout the country.
NOA is a California Small Business Enterprise (SBE), certification number 23954. Our Lodi and Sacramento offices are Division of the State Architect (DSA) approved. Both are inspected by CCRL and AMRL, and participate in the PSP programs. To better comply with DVBE requirements, NOA has formed a mentoring partnership with Amaro Construction Services. This allows us to fully comply with any mandated DBE/DVBE requirements.
